Daniella Fjellström fick sin doktorsexamen i internationellt företagande från Centre of International Business Studies (CIBUL) vid Leeds University Business School (LUBS), the University of Leeds, Storbritannien. Hon har mottagit flera prestigefulla utmärkelser för sin forskning.

• Fjellströms doktorsavhandling fick ”Neil Hood och Stephen Young” Priset för den mest originella avhandlingen vid Academy of International Business.
• The EMIC Award “Distinguished Young Scholar Award” at the 2nd Emerging Market Inspiration Conference Conference, Stockholms universitet.
• “Best Paper Award” för Osarenkhoe och Fjellström ‘A study of exogenous gap critical for cluster dynamics and interaction with global markets’, the 12th Annual Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business, International Hellenic University.
• Highly Commended Award till Fjellström och Guttormsen, för konferensbidraget ‘A critical exploration of “access” in qualitative international business field research’, by Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management: An International Journal, Emerald Publishing Limited.
