At the University of Gävle, we offer around 50 programmes and a number of freestanding courses. Study full-time or part-time, in the evenings, or choose different forms of distance learning; some courses and programmes are entirely web-based.

Distance Learning

Do you live far away from Gävle? Is your family rooted in your home town? Are you working but looking for inspiration and development in addition to work? Regardless of the situation you find yourself in at the moment, you can study with us. We offer several distance learning degree programmes and a large range of courses.

There are different types of distance learning. Some courses and programmes have mandatory meetings on campus, whereas other are completely web based. Some web based courses, however, have mandatory virtual meetings online.

Continuing Professional Development and Contract Education

We also offer continuing professional development and contract education to municipalities, public authorities, organisations, businesses and companies. These courses are designed on the basis of your particular needs and preferences.

Funded by the European Union, NextGenerationEU

The EU has established a temporary recovery instrument, NextGenerationEU (NGEU).
The initiative will help repair the immediate economic and social damage brought
about by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also help build a greener, more digital
and more resilient EU, better fit for current and future challenges.

Co-funding of our courses and study programmes has been made possible through
the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), which is part of NGEU. For more detailed
information about RRF, please refer to the Swedish government’s recovery and
resilience plan: Government Offices, Sveriges återhämtningsplan (in Swedish).
