At the University of Gävle, we offer around 50 programmes and and a number of freestanding courses. Study full-time or part-time, in the evenings, or choose different forms of distance learning; some courses and programmes are entirely web-based.

Distance Learning
Do you live far away from Gävle? Is your family rooted in your hometown? Are you working, but would still like some stimulation or inspiration? No matter what your situation is, you can study here. A large percentage of our students study through distance learning. Over the years, the University of Gävle has become one of the leading universities in the country within distance learning, and we offer whole programs and a number of courses as distance learning.
There are different forms of distance learning. Some programs and courses are entirely web-based, with only virtual meetings, whereas others have obligatory campus seminars and lectures. Make sure you find out exactly what applies to the program or course you are interested in.
Continuing Professional Development and Contract Education
We also offer continuing professional development and contract education to municipalities, public authorities, organisations, businesses and companies. These courses are designed on the basis of your particular needs and preferences.
