I kursen studeras specifika anpassningar hos växt- och djursamhällen till arktiska förhållanden. Bland annat ingår en veckas fältkurs i ett fjällområde i norra Sverige. Kursen ingår som en fristående kursdel i kurspaketet Nordic Ecology, 30 hp.
