Title pages for student theses

When publishing your thesis or ex-job in DiVA, you must use a special template for the title page. Each department has its own layout and here you can find all the title page templates.

How to use the templates

  1. Download the correct template for your department.
  2. Fill in the template without making changes to the format. Once complete, the type of publication, level and credits can be selected from the drop-down menus.
  3. Save the template as a pdf file.
  4. Save your thesis as a pdf file.
  5. Combine the two pdf files into a single pdf-file. How do I combine several files into one PDF file?

If instead of combining files, you would prefer to copy and paste your thesis text directly after the template, select the option to “Keep source formatting” when you paste in your text.

You can also choose to write your text directly in the title page template, however, you may need to adjust various format settings.

Note that the template contains section breaks that should not be removed. You can see the section breaks by using the Show/hide function in Word.
