Group Model Building Workshop i Gävle

How do air and noise pollution affect people’s health and life in Gävle, and which measures can make the greatest difference? This online workshop brings together participants from different sectors to jointly map connections, identify possible interventions and contribute knowledge to the HARMONIE research project.

Datum: 18 september
Tid: 09.00-11.00 (CET)
Plats: Digitalt (Zoom)

This workshop brings together stakeholders from different sectors to jointly explore how air and noise pollution interact with urban systems and population health in Gävle. Using a participatory approach, you will co-create a Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) — a visual map of the causes, consequences, and feedback dynamics of pollution. The five main objectives are to:

  • Identify key causes of pollution
  • Understand effects on health, economy and society
  • Map cause-and-effect relationships
  • Find the best places to intervene the system
  • Identify drivers and barriers of interventions

Workshop objectives & CLD Introduction
Get oriented: what you will build today, how the session works, and a
quick introduction to Causal Loop Diagrams (variables, arrows,
feedback loops).

Validating key causes and impacts
Validation of the Causal Loop Diagram prepared prior the workshop

Identifying & prioritising interventions
Use the diagram to pinpoint where a policy or action would have a
great impact in the system. Name existing interventions and possible
new interventions, link them to the diagram, and rank them together
