Find your way to the University
It is less than two kilometres from the city centre to the University and it only takes a few minutes to cycle or take a car or bus in between. The easiest way is to follow Kungsbäcksvägen straight to the University.

You can take the train from the airport Stockholm-Arlanda to Gävle. There is an SJ travel office and SJ sales points at the airport. They also sell tickets for other train companies.
There are plenty of pedestrian and cycle paths in Gävle, and you can cycle all the way to the University via the cycle path that follows Kungsbäcksvägen. It is less than two kilometres from the city centre to the University. There is an air station near the main entrance to pump your bike.
Local bus
X-trafik bus no. 15 runs from stop C at Gävle Central Station to the University. The bus stops on Kungsbäcksvägen just outside the University's main entrance. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Bus 15 leaves from stop C at Gävle Central Station.
- From E4 (north or south) - exit towards Gävle C and turn right at the first roundabout.
- From the E16, formerly Riksväg 80 (from the west) - turn right at the first roundabout. Highway 56 joins the E16 about 1 mile before Gävle.
- From the centre of Gävle – turn off Parkvägen at the concert hall and onto Kungsbäcksvägen.
Train lines to Gävle run from the north, west and south. By train, you can travel to and from Arlanda Airport in about an hour.
