My research has the overall title” Sustainable Supplier Selection in Upstream Supply Chain Management”. My research focuses on understanding how manufacturing firms select sustainable suppliers within their upstream supply chains. In today's heavily regulated business environment ,shaped by strict European directives like the CSRD and CSDDD, choosing a supplier is no longer just about finding the lowest cost. Instead, procurement professionals must handle a complex mix of conflicting factors, balancing traditional financial metrics with intense environmental and social compliance demands.

I combine Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) with qualitative case studies and empirical modelling to tackle these complexities. I am particularly interested in how mandatory legal requirements (such as carbon emissions tracking and human rights due diligence) interact with the real-world cognitive biases and daily pressures faced by purchasing managers. By testing this architecture against actual industrial ERP data from the ENSURE project, I am building practical, auditable decision tools that work in real life, a perspective often missing from purely theoretical research.
