The doctoral programme at the University of Gävle is for those who want to become experts in a specific subject area. The programme gives you the opportunity to develop your knowledge of scientific methods and theories. You will also receive training in working independently and systematically, and learn more about research ethics.
The aim of the program is for you to become an independent researcher ready for qualified tasks in industry, the public sector and universities. As a doctoral student, you are an important part of the University's research and an important representative of the University.
At University of Gävle we have degree-awarding powers within the areas Built Environment, Health-Promoting Working Life and Educational Sciences. Within these areas there are eleven third-cycle subject areas.
