Tea Korkeakunnas is a doctoral student in the Change Graduate School, and her project is part of the Forte-funded FlexA project, where FlexA stands for “flexible work.” The working title of my dissertation is: “Sustainable Telework—Factors of Importance for Employees’ Health and Organizational Performance.”

The overall purpose of the study is to increase knowledge about remote work that can help companies find solutions for implementing it in a sustainable way for both the organization and the individual. The doctoral project includes four sub-studies aimed at answering the following questions:
- How do managers perceive remote work in relation to the work environment and the organization’s productivity?
- How is remote work perceived by managers and employees, respectively, within the same organization?
- What factors related to remote work can contribute to employees’ health and well-being?
- What factors related to remote work can increase the organization’s productivity?
