About the researcher
Leticia Januario research focuses on physical behaviors at work and their impact on health and work-related outcomes. She is particularly interested in the interplay between psychosocial and physical factors in the workplace and how these contribute to musculoskeletal pain. Holds a PhD in physiotherapy, integrating biomechanical perspectives with occupational health research to develop evidence-based strategies for healthier work environments.
Currently, she leads a SEK 4.5 million project funded by AFA Försäkring, aiming to to study how improved psychosocial safety climate (PSC) can reduce sick leave among eldercare workers. The three-year study, uses surveys, physical workload measurements, register data, and interviews with managers to explore links between PSC, work environment, and future sickness absence.
