Farook Abdullah Sultan

Abdullah Sultan’s research focuses on advancing sustainable and efficient supply chains by integrating life cycle assessment, logistics automation, and circular economy principles. His work addresses key challenges in supply chain design — particularly in the food sector — by evaluating environmental impacts, identifying inefficiencies, and developing data-driven strategies for improvement.

Recent research ventures include exploring the potential of digital technologies—such as automation and systems thinking — to enhance operational performance, reduce waste, and support transitions toward resilient, low-carbon logistics systems. Abdullah previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and completed his PhD at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India.
