His work addresses key challenges in supply chain design — particularly in the food sector — by evaluating environmental impacts, identifying inefficiencies, and developing data-driven strategies for improvement.
Recent research ventures include exploring the potential of digital technologies—such as automation and systems thinking — to enhance operational performance, reduce waste, and support transitions toward resilient, low-carbon logistics systems. Abdullah previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and completed his PhD at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India.
