Jonas Kågström
Senior Lecturer
About the researcher
With a PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Jonas' research focuses on how consumers make environmental decisions, "green" marketing, and recycling. This has been done in collaboration with companies and interdisciplinary collaborations with other researchers, as well as in connection with the supervision of degree projects.
Jonas' long-term and committed work as a teacher is also shown by the fact that he has been named "Lecturer of the Year" by the student association Gavlecon on three occasions since 1999. In addition to his research and teaching assignments, Jonas also has several other assignments, such as Master of Ceremonies and representative of HiG in Arkiv Gävleborg.
Current research
Current research focuses on the problems that arise when political, economic and environmental issues interact - in a word: "sustainability". More specifically, issues around waste management, eco-labeling, property rights, forest certification and LCA as a tool for decision-making are studied.
