Wireless Network
For students, a wireless network, Eduroam, is available on the University's campus. The network also gives you access to networks at other universities and colleges that are connected to Eduroam.
The Eduroam Network
Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) gives you access to the internet on the University's campus and at other universities and colleges connected to Eduroam. Eduroam also works in some airports, railway stations and hotels. The name (SSID) of the wireless network is "eduroam".
How to connect to Eduroam
Choose your operating system
If you have problems connecting to Eduroam
Check that:
- Your username is written in the form: username@hig.se (example: 25xzxz01@hig.se)
- Your computer can connect to the 5 GHz frequency band
- The network card is set to DHCP (obtain an IP address automatically) and any proxy settings should be removed.
