Introduction to the Library
You must apply for a library account to borrow printed books. You do not need a library account to read e-books.
Printed books and all course books, including e-books, can be found in our library catalogue. Printed course books are located on the entrance level of the Library.
You can search the Library’s databases, journals and e-books when off campus. You do this by logging in with your user account, or via the University’s remote desktop.
Here you can read about the conditions that apply if you are a distance student at the University and live in Sweden, outside of Gävle municipality, and want to borrow books.
We have created subject guides for various subjects and programmes. They contain tips on databases, books, web resources and how to search for specific topics.
The Writing Centre can support you in all stages of the academic writing process, in Swedish or in English.
To log in to the computers in the Library, you need a University user account. If you are not a student or employee at the University, you can obtain a guest account at the information...
If you are a student at our University, you can book group study rooms. Log in to the booking system Kronox and click on the Resource tab to check availability.
