About the researcher

I am an Associate Professor (Docent) of Civil and Structural Engineering and Head of the Building Engineering Subject at the University of Gävle. I have extensive experience in the field of Civil and Structural Engineering, encompassing both academic positions at various universities and practical (industrial) roles with consulting and contracting construction companies.

At the University of Gävle, I currently teach different specialised courses, supervise and examine students’ theses, and conduct significant scientific research. My research spans a broad and in-depth range of topics within Civil and Structural Engineering, including the investigation of the behavior and performance improvement of various types of structures, building materials (such as concrete, timber, and steel), composites, roads, construction techniques, and soil mechanics.
