About the researcher

Niclas Björsell is the scientific leader of the strategic research area Intelligent Industry and head of subjects for electrical engineering and physics.

 

He has over 30 years of experience from research and development projects, both nationally and internationally and primarily in collaborations between industry and academia. He holds a licentiate degree in control engineering from Uppsala University and a doctorate in telecommunications from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). In 2012 he was appointed associate professor in telecommunications at KTH and between 2012–2015 he was a visiting professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He has published more than 100 articles (registered in Scopus) and his research interests include automation, measurement technology, prescriptive maintenance, robotics and wireless communication.

 

He teaches courses related to his research interests.
