Application for a later part of a programme

On this page you will find information on how to apply for a later part of the programme. It may be useful to know that admission to a later part of the programme is only takes place at the change of semester and that you will only be admitted if there is a place available on the desired programme.

If you have started a programme at another university but want to switch to the corresponding programme at the University of Gävle or want to resume previous programme studies at the University of Gävle, you can apply for a later part of the programme. Students who have taken independent courses corresponding to the first semester of a programme and who wish to be admitted to the next semesters of the programme can also apply for a later part of the programme.

Applications for a later part of a programme have the same application period as other programmes. You can apply between 15 March and 15 April for admission to the autumn semester and between 15 September and 15 October for admission to the spring semester.

Eligibility and selection

In order to apply, you must be eligible for the programme and have completed the courses corresponding to what the programme students at the University of Gävle study in the first semester (30 credits).

If there are more applicants than places available, a selection is made based on the number of credits achieved by the last day of registration.
