Zheng Ren är doktorand inom geografisk informationsteknik med ett starkt fokus på analys av geospatiala big data för att studera stadsstruktur och mänskliga aktiviteter. Hans forskning utforskar konceptet levande struktur, ett ramverk som syftar till att fånga komplexiteten i urbana system på flera rumsliga skalor. Hans bidrag fokuserar på att utveckla metoder som avslöjar de intrikata relationerna mellan stadsform, funktion och mänskligt beteende, för att stödja skapandet av levande och motståndskraftiga städer.
