A university education can make you more attractive to employers. It enables you to invest in yourself and develop as a person. Some professions require a university education.
What is it like to study at university?
Teaching methods may include lectures, group exercises and laboratory work. Some programmes include vocational training, or work-based learning. When a course ends, there is an examination of some kind. This may be a written exam, a written assignment requiring answers to questions or a seminar, for example an oral examination.
What is the difference between a programme and a course?
An educational programme consists of several courses that must be taken in a specific order in order to lead to a degree. However, it is also possible to take individual courses. These can be combined to form a degree. Contact a study counsellor for information on how courses can be combined and what requirements apply.
The scope of the courses is specified in credits. One term comprises approximately 20 weeks of study and corresponds to 30 credits.
Is it possible to study remotely?
Yes, there are different types of distance learning. You can either study remotely or partially remotely. Some courses and programmes are entirely web-based, while others have one or more compulsory meetings at a study location. Your teacher will post information about what applies to your particular programme on the Canvas learning platform.
